Prayer for Light in the Darkness

Father,
Today I pray for wisdom – wisdom to discern light from darkness. You would think this would be easy, but things are pretty muddled right now in this stormy world.
I pray for peace – not the enforced peace of the world, but the gentle peace that works from the inside out when You, the Prince of Peace, are in control. I pray for my life to radiate Your peace, Your love, Your grace, Your hope. Cleanse me from any attitude or emotion or remembrance that resists Your peace or harbors darkness, Lord.
Here is what I know, Father. Darkness cannot – CAN.NOT. – extinguish light, so shine Your light through me into this world of darkness. Fan Your light in me and in my brothers and sisters to shine brighter and purer each moment.
Shine, Jesus! Send forth Your word – in each of us – and let there be LIGHT!
Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
II Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
A great listen Shine, Jesus, Shine
