Great Father

Great grace in persecutionGreat peace through anxious daysGreat mercy when we falterand struggle in His ways.Great joy through sorrow’s darknessGreat light from God above,For God our mighty fortress upholds us with His love.So Great is God our FatherGreat goodness is His wayHis love abounds within us.His Word our strength each day.

Father God,The amazing fact that I can talk to the God of the Universe as Father astounds me.  You are precious to me – the very heart of my being. Without You, I am not. You are my center and my balance.You are all that is good in me, for without You, I am nothing. I need You, Father, and I praise You for Who You are – Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

May you know the precious presence of God on your journey today.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. ⁹ He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. ¹⁰ He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. ¹¹ For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. ¹² As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. ¹³ Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. ¹⁴ For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust (Psalm 103:9 – 14).
