O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer,

Precious treasure of my longing heart.

You are the One who paid my ransom.

From Your side I never wish to part.

What joy I find within Your presence.

What peace You give my troubled mind.

Your comfort settles me and keeps me.

You are good, and You are so kind.

Your judgments, holy, true, and righteous.

Your statutes stand complete and sure.

Your word endures forever perfect.

All You are enlightens, ever pure.

I know that You will save Your people.

I know You hear them when they call.

You are a holy righteous Father,

And You rescue us when we fall.

O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer,

Precious treasure of my longing heart.

You are the One who paid my ransom.

From Your side I never wish to part.

Written in response to Psalms 19 and 20.

We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions. Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand” (Psalm 20:5 – 6, KJV).

Dear Father, the heavens declare Your glory, and I choose to declare it, too. Here on this Earth where so much seems awry, I will declare that You are good and You are righteous and holy. Your word endures and Your wisdom is perfect. You are my strength and my Redeemer as I walk through this world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight. In the holy name of Jesus I pray.
