Strength for Today

the struggles of the day

and your faith which seemed so strong

just slowly fades away.

Remember I am near,

through Me you’ll persevere.

In My presence

you will find My strength.

Today when the fight

takes more than you can give,

and you want to quit and run

before the day’s begun.

Remember that I fought

the battle just for you.

In My presence

you will find My peace.

Today when life’s grief

weighs heavy on your soul,

and the burdens that you bear

are beyond what you control.

Remember I am here,

lean into My embrace.

In My presence

you will find My grace.

Remember My strength.

Remember My peace.

Remember My grace.

Today.

Dear Father, today is a day that we need Your strength, Your peace, Your grace. You are so generous to give when we ask. You don't faint or grow weary, but we do. Remind me that the race is not to the swift but to the ones who walk with You. Give us what we need for this day, and we praise You for it. In Jesus' wonderful name I pray.
