Monday Morning Prayer

Father, This world calls me to hate, but You are love. It calls me to anger, but You are mercy. I hear voices of condescension and judgment, but I know that You speak words of grace and hope.   Shouted lies

cannot

change Your Truth. Screams of rage

do not

overcome Your goodness. False promises

will not

thwart Your plan.

Hold my heart, Lord.

Let Your cleansing blood barricade my soul from the world’s attacks. Strengthen me to stand when all around seems hopeless. Keep me centered in Your goodness and anchored in Your Word.   I face today with Your praise on my lips and Your grace in my heart. It will be a good day, because You are good.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Psalm 33:5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
