Monday Morning Prayer

Lord,

Help me to guard my heart against the intrusion of the world.  Guard my mind to keep it focused on You.  Help me remember and act upon the fact that everything – everything – will fall into place as long as I recognize You as Lord and center of my life.

Protect me from

  • the clutter of materialism,

  • the rubbish of anxiety,

  • the frenzy of busyness,

  • the weight of bitterness,

  • and the vanity of perceived control.

I commit today and the days of my life to You.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12

Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Psalm 39:4

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:4
