Monday Morning Prayer

Father God,

Sometimes I am overwhelmed with the problems in this world. There is so much work to do, and I am tired.

Help me to be like Abraham who did not stagger at Your promise.

Even though he had to be stumped with the impossibility of the situation (You promised him a son when his wife was ninety years old!) – he was fully persuaded that You were able to perform all the You promised.

You still are.

Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he (Abraham) considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

II Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him (Jesus Christ) are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Sometimes by Step by Rich Mullins – A good Monday morning listen.
