Friday Morning Prayer

Father,

Thank You for this beautiful morning and for the showers of the past few days. I love the fresh-washed feel when the rain has cleared the dust from the air.

I am constantly amazed at Your handiwork and the unbelievable variations in Your creation. As I observe, I see Your intricate artwork covering even the tiniest of insects and one hundred and one tones and shades of color in every plant. You do good work! Thank You for eyes to see.

Strengthen Your children today, Lord. Let Your loving presence fill their hearts. Hold those who are weak and help them find joy in Your love. Protect our workers who brave the heat to provide the things we need and those who enter the darkness of this world to protect us.

To those who are wondering and wandering, Lord, bring clarity and Truth.

Let me walk with You today, Lord. I know there will be opportunities and challenges. Help me to see both through Your eyes. I want my life to be a blessing to You.

Clean my heart, Lord. Brush out the cobwebs of feelings and attitudes that should have long ago been released. Polish the windows of my soul, so that Your light can shine though unhindered.

Let me never forget that I belong to and am the servant of the Mighty God of the Universe, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You hold the past, the present, and the future. Enable me to walk as the daughter of the King today.

I love You, Lord. Let my life verify and proclaim that fact.
