Carry the Light!

“Howbeit no man spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.”  John 7:13

In 2000 years, little has changed. 

Substitute ‘crowd’ or ‘family’ or ‘civil suit’ or ‘politicalcorrectness’ for the word Jews in the above verse, and we still find ourselves maintainingsilence as we worry about the world’s response to the message of Christ. 

We honor and defer to the desires and feelings of those whoreject the gospel at the expense of openly proclaiming the name of JesusChrist.  We avoid offending orchallenging, choosing instead to hide our light under a bushel. 

Perhaps we should just live out our faith while speaking thetruth in love and let the chips fall where they may.
