Voices

John 18:37 – Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Voices all around us influence our thoughts, our cares, and our feelings.  We determine the voice to which we listen.

The voice of the culture – ‘Right’ is dependent on my situation.

The voice of the crowd –  Just join in – there are no consequences.

The voice of the enemy – God doesn’t really care about you.

The voice of religion –  Work to be good enough for God.

The voice of Truth – God is Love, and He loves me. God has purchased my salvation through the sacrifice of His Son. His Word is absolute truth. His way is the way of abundant life.

The voice of Faith –  I will take God at His word.
