The Light dawnedon a Sunday morningin the darkest of hoursand shone into simple livestorn by fearand culture and sorrow. His Light flowed and overflowedand spilled into heart after heart –never dimmed, never quenched. It shined through the darkness of ages.It blazed through the hardness of history. It fired through the evil of mankind’s debauchery. It glowed through sadness and horror, fanned by persecutionfed by the blood of martyrs - never dimmed, never quenched. His light has cascaded through centurieslife to life, heart to heart, reaching me.Now,I carry His Light.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain (Philippians 2:14-16).
