The Goodness of God – Psalm 33

Psalm 33:4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all His works are done in truth. 20 Our soul waits for the Lord: He is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. 22 Let Thy mercy O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee.

Each bird that sings and takes flight on its wings Reminds me of Your goodness. The meandering breeze that caresses each tree Reminds me of Your goodness.

Your goodness abounds, uplifts and surrounds Filling the earth with Your glory. Your heart drew my soul to be cleansed and made whole Making Your goodness my story.

The rain’s gentle sound on the dry, thirsty ground Reminds me of Your goodness. The roar of the sea sings Your song to me Telling me of Your goodness.

Your grace is so great; Your mercy so free. How can I doubt Your goodness? Through dark times and light, in the grip of the night My heart is filled with Your goodness.

The butterfly small and the owl’s haunting call Remind me of Your goodness. Mountains and valleys, streams flowing freely, Give evidence of Your goodness.

Your goodness is great and faithful forever. Your love is, oh, so amazing. I sing just to know that You love me so, Faithful, redeeming, unchanging.
