More than Conquerors

God gives victory.

Sometimes the triumph is miraculous and awesome in our eyes, and for a few minutes we are amazed and in awe of  His power.

But often the conquest, though no less monumental, is not the success of a champion but the training of the soldier.

It occurs in the strength to take one more step.

It lives in the love to forgive one more hurt.

It thrives in faith that trusts through adversity and courage to believe when faced with hopelessness.

Continuing through hardships, it remains steadfast in life’s darkest hour.

Each time we, through the power of the Holy Spirit, overcome, we gain a little more muscle in the soul and a little more fuel in the heart.

Each victory, big or small, grandiose or mundane, is a gift of love from the Father.

Today is a good day to celebrate the victory of how far God has brought you. We are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35 -39 KJV).
