Light Wins!

I was up early this morning, my heart strangely burdened by battles and weary in waiting. Some days I wonder, “How long, Lord? How many times will the same problems appear? How long?”

As I sat cradling my coffee, the sun began its daily ascent on the horizon. The last tendrils of night scattered, and morning dawned.

Day after day, this miracle occurs. Morning after morning, darkness is banished, and the faithfulness of God shines through. Gentle rays of light warmed my face, and I smiled.

I can go another day.

I can reach out and live out because I know

Light wins!

Light Wins

Does the sun refuse to bring the morning injust because the world is filled with grief and sin?Does the candle’s glow diminish in the night;can the darkness that surrounds exhaust its light?Or does the shine overcomemaking blackness scatterin the brightness of its glow?Light wins!Will I refuse to let His light shinefrom my heart in thedarkness of this time?Can I allow the night to overwhelmwhen Jesus, Himself, is at the helm?Or will I open my life,pouring out His loveto penetrate the dark?Light winsLight wins no matter how dark the night has been.Light wins regardless of the blackness of the sin.When I’m threatened by defeat,I will let my heart repeat –Because God is still God,Light wins!

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
