Grace for Parents

As you grow and gain wisdom, you will find that your parents are not perfect. Show grace.

You will wonder why they make the decisions they do, and you will disagree. Show trust.

The time will come when you are ready to launch out on your own and your parents will tremble. Show mercy.

There may be memories that you resent and attitudes you resist. Show forgiveness.

Finally, you will reach a time when you see your parents as the struggling and imperfect humans they are; Show understanding.

Then you will realize that you, Child, are the pinnacle of their legacy and the very beat of their heart. Show love.
