Finding God’s Love in Everyday Moments

As I walked to the mailbox this morning, I noticed a heart-shaped leaf on the ground. I walked on and found another and another.

My path was strown with hearts – laid out before me like an autumn love letter. I couldn’t help but smile as I thought about the love of my Father and all the ways that He demonstrates His love for us each day. The small reminders that He places in front of us if we just pay attention.

He doesn’t have to. He has already demonstrated His love in the greatest possible way by giving His Son on the cross as payment for my sin. He has already told me He loves me.

Still, each day His mercies are new, and His faithfulness never fails. What a great God we serve.

“But God commendeth (demonstrated) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8, KJV).
