You could have left the cross.You could have saved Yourself.You could have punished us all for Your pain.You could have called on Your powerTo take Your rightful place;You could have let judgment win over grace.But You chose to save methrough the pain of the cross.You gave Your life so I would not be lost.Now I stand in awe of Your marvelous love.Amazed that You chose me.Darkness covered the sunas You hung on that treemaking the choice that would one day save me.Your friends turned awayand let mocking rule.You bore their rejection to let me go free.You took my punishment.By Your stripes I’m made clean.The grace that You offer was paid for by pain.Such love thrills my heartbeyond my wildest dream.You gave Your all so that Heaven I’d gain.Yes, You chose to save methrough the pain of the cross.You gave Your life so I would not be lost.Now I stand in awe of Your marvelous love.Amazed that You chose me.

Ephesians 1:Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

I Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
