It happened again tonight.
I expected a beautiful sunset over a turbulent sea. Clouds swelled in the sky, and I knew they would display the color.
But what I saw was glory. Within three minutes the sky went from blue and gray to brilliant oranges and yellows. The sun sank quickly, and just before it touched the horizon a pop of green surrounded it. Behind me, a rainbow streaked through the clouds like God just wiped His paintbrush there.

Every time I see His amazing work and think, “You can’t beat that, God”, He does.
He offers
Sunset skies filled with color
Clouds racing across the horizon
Rhythmic waves pounding salty sand
Palm branches crackling in the crisp wind
Birds announcing a new day
Pelicans gliding over crystal waters
Stars flung across the heavens
A crescent moon
Shells sprinkled like confetti across the sand

I see it all, and I think like David, Lord, who am I that You should consider me? (See Psalm 8:3-4) Where does all my self-centered pettiness fit in Your grand creation?
That’s when I realize once again – He doesn’t need me; He WANTS me. He proved this on the cross.
What wonder!
What grace!
What love!
Thank You, Father. I lift my heart, my voice, my life in praise to You!
Psalm 8: 3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,4 what is man that you are mindful of him,and the son of man that you care for him? (ESV)
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Dear Friend, Know that the Father has loved and sought you. If you do not know Him, turn to Him now. I John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation (payment) for our sins.
