Unto Us

To a world gone awry, In the darkest of nights The Child brought His light. Hopelessness reigned, And sorrow was king In this sin-weary world. But God Sent his own son To a stable poor. His light pierced the dark With hope and with joy. Shining bright in Earth’s night Over years, over time, His light has reached me.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (II Corinthians 4:6)
