I’ve heard it said

that growing old

gives me certain rights

to have my way

and have my say

whatever comes to mind;

But as my hair

grows whiter still

and age my body stains,

may all my words

show kindness and

bring honor to Christ’s name.

Psalm 19:14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Titus 2:7-9 In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing  uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Ephesians 4: 29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
