As we have faced difficult times and scary diagnoses over the past few weeks, we have felt our faith challenged, and we have been reminded that God calls us to live by faith. The faith that He has given to us has held firm through the storms.

Living by faith means trusting Him in the darkness as well as the light, clinging to Him in good times and hard times. We often think that faith is just for the dying, but it is clear from God’s call to live by faith that faith is for life.

When we trust Him with all that we have, He reminds us that He is enough.

These verses have been humming through my head this week, so I thought I would share them again.

When all things pass awayWhen all is said and doneI will know that my God is still enoughWhatever may come. He’s enough when I face my highest mountain. He’s enough when I walk through valleys dim. He’s enough when my heart is broken - I can rest my life in Him.He’s enough in my disappointmentsWhen each day seems a prison of pain. He’s enough when the sun grows brighterHe’s enough in the pouring rain. All my life I have searched for purpose. All my days have been spent in pursuit. Now I know that the Goal is Him.God’s enough! He’s enough! It is true! He’s enough when my dearest friendshipsFade away like the twilight dim,And He’s still enough when the morning lightAwakens my heart again. He’s enough when my fiercest battleleaves me scarred and torn. He’s enough when the strain of this lifeLeaves my poor heart worn. He’s enough when I’m on my knees in prayer. He’s enough when I rise to stand. His great grace is my sword and shield; He holds Me with His mighty hand.I will rejoice in my all-sufficient Saviorproclaiming His mighty love. For I know though battle roarsMy God Is Enough! When all things pass awayWhen all is said and doneI will know that my God is still enoughWhatever may come.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17, KJV).
