Ebbing and flowing in traffic, I barely heard the gentle refrain echoing across the Sunday morning.
Surprised by the sound, I tuned my ears to capture notes to fill my soul, but they were wispy, high above my hurried pace.
Pushed by the crowd I moved on, the song lost to my heart, bereft at the forfeiture of music in this rush of life.
Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not
Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
