Broken by Your Glory

Lord, I remember when You gently broke my heart As You revealed Your gracious love for me. You shattered into pieces all the pride in my own good, Then You mended all the brokenness in me.

Broken by Your glory, Your goodness bought my peace. You reached down in mercy and set my spirit free. You love dawned in my darkness And Your blood washed my heart clean. Now my brokenness – my shattered life, In You is whole again.

So many broken people hiding hurting fractured hearts, chasing drifting shadows of their dreams; Running through the night held in the arms of sin’s embrace. Lord, help me shine Your glory so they can see Your grace.

Broken by Your glory, Your goodness bought my peace. You reached down in mercy and set my spirit free. You love dawned in my darkness And Your blood washed my heart clean. Now my brokenness – my shattered life, In You is whole again.

Psalm 34:18The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
