Lord, give me eyes to see the good in each day:

beauty that surrounds me,

hope when despair is near,

light when darkness reigns.

Grant me vision to notice

kindness, and mercy, and grace.

Let my sights focus on people

rather than things

and love when hate threatens to overcome.

Open my eyes to Your world, Your heart, Your will.

Be my vision, Lord.

Let me see Your way.

Matthew 6:22-23  Your eyes are windows into your body. If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. If you pull the blinds on your windows, what a dark life you will have!     The Message
